I am Melissa, and thank you for visiting my site. I love to share tips and stories and would love to share yours as well!
I am a NC native and have been a teacher in the ELA classroom for over twenty years. I am a wife, stepmom, and mommy to an elementary schooler. I love to cook, travel, and write – all on a dime! My friends and family often ask for tips on all of the above, so I would love to share some of these ideas on my site.
Though I have not shared my writing in many years, I often share storytelling with my students through literary themes in the classroom. It warms my heart to run into former students who recite some of my stories and lessons along with the impact they had on them. I hope to share some of their favorites as well!
Along my journey, I have had many pitfalls and mistakes that I am slowly learning have become my strengths in gaining confidence of the woman I am at home, at work, and in all facets of life!
